Brief Description
Raw-note based Biotin experience for hair growth. Internal Biotin consistently seemed to improve hair growth, especially when combined with Vitamin B12 and topical castor oil. One repeated pattern was that castor oil did not seem to work very well topically unless Biotin was also being taken internally. Dose response seemed important: around 40,000 IU gave strong hair growth and more body fullness but also more side effects; around 30,000 IU felt like a better balance with good hair growth and fewer problems; around 20,000 IU gave milder hair growth. Topical Biotin made hair softer but seemed to stop the growth benefit usually seen from topical castor oil. Another strong pattern was that Vitamin B12 seemed necessary for some of the fuller-looking effects and also seemed to improve blurry eyesight that appeared when high-dose Biotin was taken without B12. Vitamin B1 seemed to interfere with these benefits. Overall impression: Biotin is one of my core hair-growth treatments, but it works best with the right stack and dose.

Biotin

Dosage: 30000 IU

Around 30,000 IU felt like the best balance in the raw notes: solid hair growth, less fluid retention than 40,000 IU, and fewer size-related or puffy side effects. This dose seemed stronger than 20,000 IU but more manageable than 40,000 IU.

Long-Term Outcomes

Long-term raw-note summary:\n1. Used internally with Zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12, and topical castor oil for about three weeks and noticed more hair growth.\n2. Castor oil did not seem to work very well topically unless Biotin was also added internally.\n3. Dose pattern: 40,000 IU gave good hair growth and fullness but was too much and brought more side effects; 30,000 IU seemed like the better balance; 20,000 IU gave milder hair growth.\n4. Without Vitamin B12, high-dose Biotin caused blurry eyesight; adding back around 1,000 mcg B12 improved eyesight again.\n5. B12 seemed to need Biotin to create some of the fuller-fluid effect, and B12 also appeared to lessen some side effects from other hair-growth treatments.\n6. Vitamin B1 seemed to interfere with B12 warmth and with Biotin-related filling/fullness effects.\n7. Topical Biotin made hair softer but seemed to stop the usual growth benefit from topical castor oil.\n8. Raw notes also mention occasional prostate discomfort and chest puffiness, suggesting dose caution.
