Internal minoxidil produced lots of hair growth. 2.5 mg daily: too much; caused heart side effects, wrinkled forearms, extra fat below the ears, under the arms, under the chin, and puffy eyelids. 1.67 mg daily: heart felt okay, but wrinkled forearms and fat effects remained; good hair growth. 1.25 mg daily: wrinkles and fat effects were going away; hair was slightly better than external use only. Vegetable smoothies seemed to block effectiveness.
